Welcoming

We welcome, celebrate, and acknowledge diversity in all forms and believe that this diversity strengthens and adds beauty to our classroom.

We embrace inclusive education and hold steadfast to the belief that all children have the right to belong. We work to learn what welcoming and celebrating all people looks like and strive to improve our ability to do this well for students, staff, families and the larger community.

Debbie LeeKenan summarizes our hope well stating, “The four anti-bias goals of identity, diversity, justice and action provide a framework for children to develop positive social identities; have empathic, caring interactions with people who are different from them; and notice and stand up against unfairness they see in their community.”
